Stand on one leg
Remove shoes. Stand on your dominant leg, hands at sides. Press the timer to start the 3 second countdown, close your eyes at 0.
2
Hold as long as possible
Time begins when your foot leaves the ground. Stop when you lose balance or touch down.
Why It Matters
Balance declines 2-3% per year after 30. It's the strongest predictor of fall risk and independent living in later decades.
