Endurance Under Load Assessment
Loaded 6-Minute Walk
Walk as far as you can in 6 minutes while carrying an external load. The app records distance and load, computes a load-adjusted distance, and scores it against age- and sex-matched norms.

How To Test
1
Prepare
Use a flat, pre-measured route and a timer. Warm up with 2–3 minutes of unloaded walking. Choose a load you can carry safely for 6 minutes — dumbbells, a weighted vest, or a backpack.
2
Walk
Start the timer and walk at a brisk, sustainable pace for 6 minutes. You may slow or stop to rest, but the clock keeps running. Do not run.
3
Record
When time is up, measure total distance walked and the weight you carried. Enter both along with your body weight so load can be scored as a percentage of body weight.
Why It Matters
This assessment adapts the validated 6-Minute Walk Test to measure sustained functional endurance under load — a submaximal effort that reflects real-world carrying capacity and links to cardiovascular and functional health outcomes.
